God Cares About Coral

God gave man the job to take care of His creation (Genesis 2:15). This is both to preserve creation so that it will continue to reveal God’s amazing attributes (Romans 1:20), and also for our own benefit (Genesis 2:15). A well maintained garden will produce more fruit, like following God’s will for our lives produces blessing. When we do not care for God’s creation, people suffer the consequences.

Reefs for Life was established to “Transform Communities Through Conservation”, so that people can thrive by following God’s plan for our lives.

Teaching

We are teaching impoverished coastal communities to take up their role as caretakers of God’s creation. When they do, they are amazed to see how God blesses them. We encourage them to study God’s Word and discover God’s plan for salvation through Jesus Christ.

Marine Protected Areas (MPA’s)

We help the fishermen set up no-take no fishing zones near their town. Within months, these no-fishing zones begin to produce more fish that swim outside the protected zone and into the fishing areas. Increased fish catches reduce poverty, increase health, and allow more kids to get an education.

Coral Reef Restoration

We use a technology that helps coral reefs grow back faster. The more coral in the MPA, the more fish will be produced.
